Nicola is an Alteryx Core Certified consultant who uses her background in sociology and education to ensure data-driven solutions are easily understood and adopted by stakeholders. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the University of Passau and a Master’s degree in Culture and Organization from Leuphana University Lüneburg. Nicola’s experience as a secondary school teacher of Modern Foreign Languages provides her with a unique edge, allowing her to translate technical workflows into actionable business stories.
In her time at The Data School, Nicola has developed a strong technical toolkit including Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI. She has already applied her expertise to several collaborative projects, including work for a major UK bus operator. In these roles, she focused on data preparation and the development of solutions to support service improvement and executive decision making.
Nicola recently demonstrated her project management capabilities by leading a client project involving rail performance and station footfall data. In this role, she coordinated a team of consultants to deliver four dashboards, including two predictive proof of concepts designed to help the client identify high-risk periods for resource optimisation. Nicola remains active in sharing her expertise, recently drawing on her teaching background to lead training sessions on Alteryx Next Level Tools.
In her free time, Nicola is a self-proclaimed linguistics nerd, always ready to share a fun fact about languages. She also enjoys staying active through hiking, skiing, and climbing, as well as attending gigs and other cultural events.
